Magizham Poo is the small tree of the Indian subcontinent. Its Leaves are small, shiny, thick, narrow & straight trunk and also spreading branches. Flowers are small, star-shaped, yellowish white in color, with a crown rising from the center. Oval leaves, wavy at margin, about 5-16 cm and 3-7 cm wide. In the morning the fragrant flowers which so graciously scented their surroundings with their deep, rich fragrance.

Magilam Poo also known as Spanish cherry (Mimusops elengi) is a medium-sized evergreen tree belonging to the Sapotaceae family. The native of this herb are India, Indo-china, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Andaman Island, and Peninsular Malaysia.

This plant has a lot of medicinal properties and then it is traditionally treats toothache, headaches, poisonous cases, oral cavity problems, diarrhea, and other health problems in Ayurveda.

The flowers, fruits, seeds and then the bark of this plant are in Ayurveda because of their medicinal properties. In Ayurveda, it is that this flower effectively reduces two vitiated doshas: Pitta and Kapha.
